An Affiliate of ExxonMobilI was recommended and hand-picked by a former colleague to lead the Americas regional technology center for basestocks, synthetics and waxes to support validation/development of new products, steward the brand integrity program for two product lines, and to be an individual contributor for lab research. My key contributions have been:• Proposing a dual solvent extraction process that successfully re-processed used lubricants and is currently in the process of undergoing a patent application. I worked within a gated project management of change process to progress & complete this first-in-the-industry research project.• Working with an external customer account to develop a new product component for their manufacturing process, progressing a test matrix with a product technology expert, and secured customer commitment for a plant trial with the prototype product.• Identifying cost-effective process improvement additives that enabled a global refinery site to achieve best-ever throughput performance and capture perennial opex credits of $10M+/yr.• Establishing a continental integrated products lab network among technology and refinery labs to identify new project deliverables from the needs of refinery labs, share best practices and collaboratively improve test method precisions through voluntary action teams.
