As a Senior Hardware Engineer in Xylem’s Monitoring and Control department we designed electronic and electrical controllers and systems to support the water transport, dewatering and mixing product lines. Key responsibilities included: • Supporting the team manager in ensuring the efficient workflow of projects through our product development process pipeline. Maintaining the task backlog based on priories ensuring clear and verifiable requirements. Providing guidance and assistance to team members and reviewing their work output. • Design of electronic hardware and system design for microcontroller and microprocessor based controllers and associated sensor, communication and electrical equipment. • Hardware representative in project meetings, interfacing with other teams ensuring information flow and progress visibility. • Developing processes for specification and validation stages and actively gathering stakeholder requirements to create the hardware technical specifications for products. • Creating and executing test plans for hardware validation, environmental testing, production testing and NPI and ensuring a clear pathway for regulatory compliance testing. • Ensuring smooth handover of product designs to the product owner, operations and Xylem’s manufacturing partners and inspection of external electronics manufacturing. • Experience as an assistant project manager coordinating local and remote hardware software, test and mechanical teams and removing blockers to maintain project timeline.

As a Hardware Engineer at Multitrode and at Xylem after the acquisition of Multitrode, I supported the development of monitoring and control products for the water industry. This was across a number pf products and typically involved: • Developing electronics digital analog sensor interfacing, communications, 3-phase power monitoring and control, HMI, RF, AC and DC power supplies battery systems • Electronics design, schematic capture and PCB layout BoM generation • Estimation of development time and cost during development of business case • Production support for NPI and production test equipment • Validation testing, precompliancee testing and resolving emc issues • Research into new technologies, technology development proof of concept

During my time at Hetech I supported both the companies production department as a production engineer and contract product design for external clients. My responsibilities included: • Product design including electronic hardware development, firmware development, validation and field testing and handover to production. • Setup and programming of SMT and TH electronics manufacturing equipment • Development of production test jigs and support and training of staff • Resolution of production issues, testing rework and repair. • Maintain QA ISO9001 compliance, CI and internal audits
