About Ferran Jean-Charles

Throughout my 30 years career in Seismic, I always enjoyed taking new challenges, working across different business entities, with the aim to develop new technologies, new opportunities and create more value. I occupied various technical and managerial positions in seismic processing, field seismic operations, geophysical support, and technology development for Marine seismic, Land Seismic Acquisition and Reservoir monitoring. I have the chance to be part of a Geoscience community always keen to explore new territories as diverse as ultra-deep water, shale gas reservoirs or deep water aquifers. It is also a community who is keen to be at the heart of the Energy Transition challenges, by bringing new solutions in CO2 underground storage, subsurface monitoring or deep geothermal resources characterization. The Geoscience community is more than a community. It is a wide ecosystem of diverse structures ranging from very large international companies, universities or societies to local group of interests or start-ups. I’m convinced that a more collaborative approach by gathering even a fraction of the force of this ecosystem can tackle unmet needs of our industry and bring new valuable solutions for our Energy Transition world. This is my main motivation for co-founding GeoLinks.
