My role involves the analysis and manipulation of large-scale stock-profile data for all companies under the Rexel banner: Newey and Eyre, WF Senate, Denmans Electrical, Wilts, Parker Merchanting and Rexel Renewable Energy Solutions (RES). TALEND exports, AS400 and Cognos data are used to report on a range of information relating to stock profiles in branches around the UK. Manipulating spreadsheets and utilising tools such as Lookups and Pivot Tables is a key part of the role allowing the department to provide accurate feedback across the business.Much data manipulation centres on a variety of system changes that need to be modelled and implemented accurately and fast. Some of the modelling involves preparation of bulk order values to meet company targets or gain rebates from suppliers. As some of these can be millions of pounds in value, the need for focus and attention to detail is paramount.We receive a large volume of requests each day from around the business ranging from stock record amendments through to detailed analysis and reporting. The ability to juggle workload and prioritise is essential to ensure requests are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.The role also deals with demand forecasting, seasonal adjustments and large-scale month-end system alignments. I have also given system training as and when required for other team members or colleagues from other parts of the business.Previously I have been involved with the transfer of all Rexel-owned companies onto our current M3 ERP system. I have aided the development and evolution of various processes and documents to make the transition as smooth as possible and improve the efficiency of our busy department as a whole.I am currently involved in the early stages of Project OBO which aims to roll-out a specific offering of own brand products across all UK branches. This involves coordinating a number of business functions to replace the old product and ensure deadlines are always met.

Part of a small team dealing with various aspects of product maintenance on the system. This included creating the items on the system, amending their details, upkeep of cost and trade pricing and dealing with ad-hoc queries from both external branches and internal departments.Within the team we were assigned individual responsibilites. Mine included dealing with all products for the Parker Merchanting banner of Rexel and also the Specialist Lamps sector. I also maintained all cable pricing on the system from a number of suppliers which is subject to regular changes subject to copper costs. During my time in the role I also dealt with all 'local' pricing (special deals applicable only to certain branches or regions) and created and oversaw thousands of pricing agreements to deal with this. This also allowed me to develop excellent communications with the Purchasing and Inventory office in Kirkcaldy with whom I had contact with on a daily basis regarding system changes.• Creation and maintenance of products within ERP system• Ensuring accuracy and integrity of data through following business guidelines and practices• Analysis of data exported from in-house database• Manipulation of complex spreadsheets for system amendments/ distribution (Lookups, PivotTables, chart/ graph production etc…)• Provision of support to product managers• Development of effective working relationships• Communication with national branches regarding product queries• Identification and escalation of high-priority issues

A very customer-focussed role creating and maintaining various aspects of customer records for the company utilising the in-house ERP system, Movex. The tasks ranged from account creation, address amendments, updating contact details etc to maintaining pricing specific to the individual customers. Accuracy in the role was vital as was undertaking various tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines. Working as part of a small team there was also emphasis on the need to effectively share the workload whilst completing tasks largely on an individual basis. The school itself was quite technologically advanced and had many interactive whiteboards, projectors, desktop PCs and laptops which it was my responsibility to maintain.
