My lessons foster higher level thought processes and flexibility in mathematical thinking. My students are encouraged to learn from each other, seek connections, derive new ideas, and analyze errors while on the road to a deeper understanding. My students not only know what to do and how to do it, but can also explain why. I encourage a growth mindset through my teaching methods, student/parent interactions, classroom routines, and dedication to honoring and encouraging student inquiry.
