Currently serving as the Associate Director for Systems and Software Engineering. Responsible for leading a department with over 170 geographically dispersed teammates performing development, support, and serial upgrade of SIGINT and cyber domain products. Primary responsibilities include functional oversight through the Section Managers, understanding staff demand and developing a supply plan, recruiting and hiring new engineers, and proactively supporting root cause corrective actions for various problems across program, technology, and interpersonal domains. Member of the Engineering Leadership Team (ELT) that oversees the strategy and activities associated with over 400 high performing engineers. Previously served as a Business Area Manager for a portfolio of SIGINT programs spanning the acquisition life cycle. Responsible for program execution, Profit/Loss, business strategy, new business development activities, developing/assigning PM staff, proposal excellence, marketing and bid/proposal budgets, and selecting IR&D projects.Proven leader in multiple industries who excels in developing and leading high-performing cross-functional teams, building strategic partnerships, and providing a calming influence while solving complex problems. A change leader with 20+ years of program and engineering management expertise in the public and private sectors related to defense, intelligence, counter-terrorism and healthcare. Adept at transforming strategy into action and novel concepts into reality. Examples include the successful integration of the first Unmanned Air Vehicle in the National Airspace System; designing, testing and fielding a maritime counter-terrorism program; and building Indiana’s first direct to consumer telehealth program.
