This Technical Product Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining and testing product data, pricing, rules & notes for products in our Unitary portfolio, including the Mitsubishi/Trane Joint Venture and other products, based on business needs. This work supports software programs used by the field sales organization, as well as external customers, to select Trane Commercial Systems equipment. It also supports the tools used by commercial sales offices to price, generate documents such as proposals and submittals, and ultimately to order Trane equipment. - Perform data maintenance activities such as product definition, selection rules, pricing, proposal/submittal data, drawings, etc.- Serve as process owner for sales tools data changes, which requires extensive testing before releasing program updates to the field sales organization and external customers.- Work as part of a team to maintain a project schedule for all products. Interface with product management on product updates and timeline requirements.- Work as part of a team to support a monthly replication cycle with accurate data and changes.- Work as part of a team to support problems reported by sales offices, product support and/or pricing teams.- Working knowledge of computer-aided graphic systems; AutoCAD experience preferred.- Basic understanding of data maintenance system a plus.- Must be customer-driven and quality-minded in performing all assigned duties.- Must be able to function in a technical engineering team environment.- Ability to work both individually and in cross-functional teams- High attention-to-detail and solid communication skills- Self-motivated and Tenacious- Excellent computer skills- Willing to learn and ask questions

As part of the Airside Product Management team, I work closely with the Marketing Engineer III and Marketing Leader, to ensure orders, market share and profit goals are met for custom air handling products.I analyze, define, and implement application changes and enhancements in our official product sales tool, TOPSS.Major responsibilities include:Expanding Market Participation• Interface with engineering, operations and product management to gather necessary data for new product options and validation of existing options• Data entry product enhancements, line extensions and new product development• Coordinate with web developers to ensure exceptional user experience and release timing• Maintain and update 3D AutoCAD graphics for selection software interface and as-built dimensional drawingsOptimize Profitability• Interface with product management and procurement team to update product pricing• Updated product submittal documentation based on VOC and product updates• Manage application enhancements, maintenance, and support for assigned systems and vendor dynamic link libraries (DLL)• Interface with external vendor support service groups.Enhance User Experience• Subject matter expert for custom air handler selection tool, including internal support for all functions• Monthly validation testing of selection software tool• Actively monitor and track technical software problems, following up to ensure timely fixes are implemented• Manage web based interface with frequently asked question, known errors and resolutions
