Consultant within the Energy Markets and Utilities Advisory at PA Consulting. I worked to advise clients such as private equity firms, asset managers, and developers on the economics and investment strategy of U.S. buy-side and sell-side M&A opportunities, with the goal of accelerating the clean energy transition.My primary work included applying research on energy market policy, regulation, and trends to complex analyses on the fundamental renewable supply/demand balance of U.S. markets, as well as forecasts of REC prices, renewable capital costs, renewable levelized costs, and thermal asset dispatch.

Characterized the gas output of a biomass Imbert gasifier for the purposes of determining operating variables that lead to optimal generator performance. This work was part of a larger project aimed at designing and implementing micro-grids in Puerto Rico for energy independence and resilience.

Graduate Student Instructor for EAS 550/STRAT 566: Systems Thinking for Sustainable Development and Enterprise at the University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS). This course is an interdisciplinary, graduate-level course of approximately 30 students. As the GSI, I assisted in the development and teaching of labs and course lectures, was the primary grader for assignments, and enhanced the understanding of course material by meeting with students in office hours.Nominated for the 2020 SEAS Outstanding Teaching award.

Sustainability Without Borders (SWB) is a multidisciplinary student organization that engages in global partnerships to design development projects. SWB works with community members to promote bidirectional learning, and the implementation of sustainable solutions. As the Executive Assistant of the organization, I managed logistics for event planning, took minutes at officer and project leader meetings, updated static website content, and served as a point of contact for group inquiries and expenses.In a co-leadership capacity, I served on the South Africa project team, which engaged with Kgora Farmer Training Centre in North West Province, South Africa to incoporate renewable energy demonstration technologies onto their 800 ha. educational facility.

In my capacity as a project assistant for the Department of Transportation and Parking Management, I surveyed campus grounds and independently created a database of over 75 abandoned bicycles that were removed to support increased registration of new cyclers at the university. Additionally, I analyzed data in Excel used to form actionable recommendations on projects including profiling shuttle bus ridership, estimating costs of increased shuttle services, departmental job statistics, and dropped call rates.

Myself and another student facilitator collaborated in running a weekly workshop on general chemsitry for 20 first year engineering students. Throughout my four semesters participating in this program, I mentored approximately 80 students. Facilitators utilize active learning strategies while reviewing lecture material in front of the class. In addition, facilitators design problem sets for the students to complete in groups. Bi-weekly training sessions are held for facilitators to develop their leadership and professional skills.

As a Mickey Leland Energy Fellow, I measured the barrier properties of various polymer and multilayer films as part of an effort to develop composite liners to reduce methane leaks from natural gas pipelines. Adhering to ASTM standards, I calculated the water vapor transmission rate of various films. Additional data analysis included carbon dioxide permeation rates from gas chromatography with thermal conductivity detection in helium and degrees of polarity of the samples from FTIR-ATR spectroscopy. At the end of the fellowship, I presented my preliminary results at the MLEF Technical Forum for an audience of approximately 60 people.
