I am a PhD candidate at the University of Leeds, where the focus of my research is linking the mechanics and energetic costs of locomotion. My topic of interest is the effect of anthropogenic selection pressures on daily energy budgets and population dynamics. My previous experience ranges from ecology and conservation field work, developmental biology, cardiac physiology research and biomechanics and energetics of locomotion. I have a plethora of field research experience including tropical environments and the high arctic of the Svalbard archipelago. Prior to entering the field of biological research I worked in logistics for over 6 years. During this extended period I occupied a variety of roles including customer service, product development, UK LCL management, and systems testing/ analysis.
