Hello and welcome my name is Jeff Mason. I am a recent graduate of Kutztown University of PA earning my Undergraduate degree in Political Science. My main area of concentration is American Government Constitutional Law with minor focus in State & Municipal Government.In 2013 I had the distinct honor of leading a Statewide effort to save an Amtrak Line "Amtrak Pennsylvanian" that was in jeopardy of being lost due to lack of funding and new National laws that leave funding on the states. I was humbled to produce two petitions that gathered more than 8,000 concerned citizens ranging from teens without ability to drive, to college kids from all different states who take the line to and from campus, to elderly citizens who use it because they can no longer drive who all rely on this line in one way or another. To have had the privilege to sit down with lawmakers and discuss citizen's concerns, to sitting down with college students on campuses that rely on the line to just my everyday contact with passengers that were aboard the train line while I was traveling between Philadelphia and Harrisburg or Pittsburgh I never once turned down talking to someone about how they would be affected.My working and community background and interest in politics came out of my endeavors in boy scouting and obtaining my Eagle Rank in 2005. Scouting taught me to live by the Scout Oath and Law which instill quality and Leadership in young men across America and create some of the best business owners, CEO's, and even Presidents of the US. During scouting I learned valuable ideals of service and leadership while doing community service and merit badges such as Law and Citizenship in the Community & Nation, which helped me learn about the inner workings of township and municipal government which spurred me to what I ended up studying in college.
