My role at PVinsight involves overseeing the operations, maintaining the quality management system and continually improving the testing services offered. I completed my PhD at NMMU in the field of photovoltaic (PV) device characterisation focusing on Electroluminescence (EL) in 2014. Since obtaining my PhD, I have been the Laboratory Manager at the Nelson Mandela University, Photovoltaics Testing Lab which became the spin-out company PVinsight in 2017. In my role as Senior Researcher in the NMU PV research group, I have contributed to research on cell mismatch and module degradation and PV module characterisation techniques.Highlights of my job:1. Developing systems that work faster and better. 2. Solving the puzzle...collecting data...giving answers about the factors that affect PV module quality.
