Created a service oriented architecture and set of apps and services for online forms and surveys. This supported 3000+ users making and customizing forms that accepted up to 1000s of responses daily. I also hired, managed, and onboard our engineers, set up workflows and development processes. The breadth and depth of what I did:- Created a multi-environment continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipeline using Docker, CircleCI, and AWS.- Defined a SQL based schema for large scale forms, user authentication and authorization, payments, and external integrations with Stripe and Zapier- Architected and wrote a scalable Node.js based API with JSON web token (JWT) based authentication, ACL based authorization, automated database migrations, and a container based development environment.- Created and designed two separate react applications to consume APIs. Both included token based authentication, secure file uploads, drag and drop interfaces, redux based state management, and immutable data structures.- Designed and Coded an auto-scaling AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation, EC2, ECS, IAM, KMS, RDS Aurora, SSM, CloudWatch, and Docker all in its own private cloud network.- Created technical tests and assisted in interviewing over 100 different software engineers- Created in-house command line interface that installed, setup and allowed for developers to work on our apps with little-to-no knowledge of our underlying infrastructure- Developed in house tool that allowed broadcasting our individual features to our product manager- Set up a fully featured test environment for all applications based on Mocha and Sinon for back-end and Jest for front-end- Created and managed 15 different code repositories with over 3000 commits- Executed technical and culture fit interviews for engineering- Engineered and automated new hire development environment onboarding- Led and managed engineering coordinating with product and design

Developed public facing Node.js and Express.js based API for BKON’s IoT web platform for developers creating agency implementations of the BKON physical web platform for their own clients. This included:- writing numerous controllers that integrated and connected to existing application business logic- creating a separate authentication flow via JSON web tokens- working with and modifying an existing database schema based on NoSQL and MongoDb- writing an entire test suite for the API functionality based on the Mocha test-runnerIn addition to the API, I also helped create the "page building" feature that allowed users to make custom web page for their IoT beacons. This included creating the relevant APIs and business logic, writing the React.js based front-end alongside another front-end developer, and completing an entire test suite based on the Mocha and Jest test runners.I was also part of the team that integrated Stripe into our application to handle meter based billing, international pricing, international shipping and tax, and the relevant user interface related components. Creating the application logic that dealt with calculating all fo the relevant taxes, based on location, and allowing users to select from various shipping vendors was my primary role on this feature.

Overhauled and re-architected an existing Ruby on Rails based application to use a responsive, single-page web application based on Angular 1 for better connecting employees and managers in order to increase workplace wellness. My roles and responsibilities included:- migrating a way from coffee script to modern JavaScript- creating an analytics dashboard using google charts- organizing and coding large scale CSS using SASS- working alongside back-end developers to leverage API based updates for UX- designing and adding animations for all major user interactions via CSS- writing the front-end view for the admin dashboard to manage usersThe primary challenge (and fun part!) with this was dealing with animating, paging, and infinitely scrolling large sets of data returned from the Rails based API while keeping a seamless user experience.

Global Leaders Organization is a one-of-kind platform for deals, discussions and connections exclusively for Entrepreneurs, CEO's and Presidents around the world. My responsibilities included:- Designing the initial branding, logo, and user experience patterns- Creating a social media platform based on Meteor.js, Node.js, MongoDB, Stripe- Making the Meteor based front-end with Twitter Bootstrap and LessCSS- Architecting and coding the payment system with Stripe- Hosting the application on Modulus.io and the Mongo database on Joyent Cloud- Designing a point based system and algorithm that would watch and rate user posts / content real-time with Node.jsIn addition to the above, I also helped design a variety of marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and papers using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Fireworks.

Idea Mornings is a monthly gathering of thought leaders, entrepreneurs, business leaders, artists, scholars, and community activists in Louisville. On the last Friday of each month, we invite a distinguished speaker to give a short talk aimed to spark new ideas for the community. Our hope is that these ideas from smart people in Louisville will turn into new opportunities for innovation.My role is designing/managing the website, working with the audio on the live site, and as of recent, managing it.

Tutor and develop 20+ Economics students per semester into independent learners and educated consumers. Topics included beginning economics courses, intermediate micro and macro economics, advanced mathematical economics and calculus.

-Working in a team of 28 of the best U of L students to induct 2000+ incoming students per summer. -Personally counseling and advising 100+ students in the School of Music and the College of Arts and Sciences -Directing a series of 14 educational, "Real World" skits performed at each of the sessions of 250+ students with 27 other actors. -Public Speaking to a crowd of 250+ students, 3 times per session for 20 sessions.

-Lead Research Analyst on the "Tap Into Fitness" program aimed at helping prevent Child Obesity in 8 elementary schools in Jefferson County. -Analyzed 650+ 4th grade students in 10+ different catagories of measure. -Conducted 100+ surveys at the Louisville, Kentucky Airport -Survey 20+ business leaders in regards to Economic Development in Louisville, KY -Researched and Surveyed 50+ health care firms in regards to insurance reimbursement data.
