Colin Gibson is a seasoned executive and founder focused on the intersections of finance, law, and technology. A graduate of MIT (MBA), Yale Law School, and Morehouse College, he has over 20 years experience driving groundbreaking initiatives at industry-leading institutions and building transformative companies.PROMOTING INDUSTRY-LEADING INSTITUTIONSColin began his career as a capital markets and private equity attorney at leading global law firms Sullivan & Cromwell and Ropes & Gray where he structured and executed innovative transactions for Bain Capital, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity Investments, Société Générale, Softbank, and other multinational clients. He then joined Citigroup where he held a series of highly visible leadership positions that spanned investments, legal, and risk management, mostly starting new, firm-wide initiatives mandated by the Board of Directors or members of the Senior Management Team.BUILDING TRANSFORMATIVE COMPANIESWith respect to emerging companies, upon graduating MIT, Colin briefly served as a founding member of Thanks Again (now GlidePathCX)—a rewards platform that has gained a presence in over 100 airports worldwide. This led to The DaCosta Group (TDG) and its predecessor Vera United Holdings (Vera)—a consortium of transformative emerging companies and accomplished senior executives building the future of financial & legal services.CURRENT PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENTSIn addition to serving as Founding Chairman of Vera, Colin is co-founder and Executive Chairman of 4Thought Technologies, a SaaS company that provides next-generation AI and data analytics infrastructure to institutional investors and is backed by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). He also serves as an advisory board member of the Center for Research toward Advancing Financial Technologies (CRAFT), which is funded by the NSF and industry-leading financial institutions. Colin remains a member of the New York Bar with a focus on educating a new, diverse generation of business counselors equipped to thrive in today's technology-driven markets. He also advises select U.S. government agencies like the National Institutes of Health (NIH) through Snowbird Consulting Group, for which he further serves as a senior advisor.
