Member of the senior management team helping shape the strategic direction the organisation. - Primary oversight of annual grants programme of c£1.2m including pre-round outreach, ensuring rigorous due diligence processes, chairing investment panels, and ongoing stewardship of portfolio organisations- Recruited, trained and manage high performing programme team of ~40 consultant grantee assessors (tripled in first year), programme manager, programme coordinator, programme assistant, and impact and data associate - Developed new strategic plan in collaboration with the executive team and Board Chair and Vice-Chair - Oversight of strategic communications activities highlighting impact of grantees, corporate partners, and organisational research via website, and social media channels- Represent the organisation externally on regular basis- Oversee and manage organisational DEI enhancements (implemented DEI data standard and member of the Association of Charitable Foundations DEI Steering Committee )

• Blue Shield of California Foundation: Produced annual analysis of grantee organisations across program funding areas (Domestic Violence Prevention and Healthcare Access). Led analysis and recommendation of a new funding formula for the Blue Shield Against Violence Initiative. • Independent International Legal Advocates (IILA): developed a 5-year strategic plan for non-profit international legal advisory and training organisation enabling more effective and fair participation of small and developing States in the creation and application of international law.• Just Transcription: Developed Social Return on Investment (SROI) Framework for a social enterprise committed to harnessing the power of new technology to increase access to transcriptions within the UK criminal justice system.• Freelance Investigative Reporters and Editors (FIRE): advised senior leadership on organizational growth strategy for innovative NGO supporting freelance investigative journalists.

Boutique strategy & management consulting firm helping nonprofit and philanthropic organizations increase effectiveness and impact.Recent clients and projects include:• Peter Kiewit Foundation: helped develop a 5-year strategic plan for $500M foundation, clarifying goals, program areas, objectives, and timeline for implementation.• Leadership Enterprise for African Development (LEAD): advised senior management on overall strategy and interim program development for joint Harvard and Yale University African research and capacity building institute.• Tipping Point Community: advised senior leadership on development of management assistance and partnership strategy for a grant-making organization that fights poverty in the San Francisco Bay Area.• San Francisco AIDS Foundation: provided project management and program development for intervention program to reduce the spread of HIV among young Black MSM in the San Francisco Bay Area.• Gay Straight Alliance Network (GSAN): developed program level strategies for CDC funded project to increase the capacity of schools and community-based organizations to create safe spaces and improve health and educational outcomes for LGBTQ+ youth.

Management consultancy focused on clients in the social service, education, and cultural sectors.Clients and projects included:• Boys & Girls Clubs of America (National): advised senior management on fundraising strategies and alumni engagement resulting in increased engagement in national movement• Global Business Coalition/DC Department of Health: project lead for social marketing campaign aimed at interrupting HIV transmission rates among African American youth in Washington DC• Project Word: advised project director on issues related to overall strategy and organizational development for a media diversity/investigative journalism initiative focused on social justice topics• L'Oréal/UNESCO/Global Business Coalition: project managed launch of one of the largest HIV/AIDS mobilization campaigns in U.S. history• Gallery Nine 5: served as interim director of external affairs for contemporary art gallery; Developed and implemented the gallery’s philanthropic partnership plan
