- Managing a diverse team of over 30 engineers with a wide range of skill sets. This includes teams of NVH specialists, CAE analysts, vehicle test engineers and development leaders.- Overall responsibility for brake NVH attributes including; squeal, judder, graunch and actuation and modulation noise.- Responsible for delivering customer quality for these attributes across all name plates.- Developing refinement delivery process to improve efficiency and delivery of programs.

- Technical lead responsible for delivering the braking refinement attribute on two platforms. - Achieved successful launch of the first three models on a brand new vehicle platform. Including first application of a new friction lining which brought new technical challenges.- Leading the development process for a second new platform from concept; incorporating key strategic technologies.- Managing a small team of engineers and liaising directly with various international suppliers.

- Identify NVH issues from the braking system and then design and validate palliatives.- Organise and lead programs of testing on prototype vehicles both in the UK and also at various global test sites to evaluate and validate different NVH solutions in extreme climatic conditions.- CAE modelling and running various analyses with different designs and configurations before validating any potential fixes through vehicle testing.- Champion and improve test procedures with the aim of creating more robust and repeatable tests and further improve internal standards.- Attribute lead for a braking refinement project.

- Structured graduate development program, designed for both personal and professional development.- Six Sigma Training including an externally assessed process development project.- Based in the Brakes Refinement team- Placements in; Brakes CAE, Brakes Dynamometer, Noise Vibration Harshness, Plant Vehicle Team, Prototype Vehicle Engineering, Supplier Technical Assistance and Product Planning.- Understanding of how to balance engineering appropriate solutions with business needs and customer expectations.

- Project Engineer in the Main Mechanical Factory.- Working directly with customers to produce detailed manufacturing instructions using the engineering drawings and operating procedures.- Components to be produced were for a number of different MOD projects including nuclear submarines and had quality levels ranging from standard up to ‘critical to life’.- Specify exact material grades, rigorous testing and documentation to assure quality and provide traceability to comply with MOD regulations.- Sourcing new non-destructive liquid penetrant testing equipment, the use of which would cut the labour time by roughly half.- Leading weekly shop floor safety discussions.
