Well, you've stumbled upon my summary! Thanks for stopping by and taking a moment to get to know me a little better. My name is Jenny; friends call me JCK. In 2020, an accident gave me the ultimate beginner's mindset. I had to relearn everything, down to the basic Lego blocks of communication. When I rejoined the corporate world, I realized I couldn’t assume I had things right. I dug into the world of User Experience, learning how to ask the right sharp questions to bring the story forward. Design the Right Thing. ♦️♦️ Design things Right. In the fall of 2020, my mentor helped me see that I had lost my design bias when I fell. Without those guardrails gleaned from my past experiences- I could connect the dots in ways other people couldn’t. Let's be clear—you don't need a life-altering event to embrace a beginner's mindset. A willingness to question and adapt is all you need.We often get it wrong when we assume we know what someone wants or needs, what works or what doesn’t. Today, I use my unique skills and experience to help people build strong. In my role as Director, Talent-Centered Transformation at Eightfold I get to work with leaders across the Public and Private Sectors. Helping them to shift their strategies from Job-Centered Architectures to Talent-Centered Architectures. I'm a partner committed to helping you build strong, scalable, and sustainable solutions.Get it Right > Be Right. The only way to solve the hardest of problems is to choose to begin. JCKJenny Cotie Kangas (formerly Jenny Neuharth)MYERS BRIGGS – MBTI(ENTJ)Frank, decisive, assumes leadership readily. Quickly sees illogical and inefficient procedures and policies, develops and implements comprehensive systems to solve organizational problems. Enjoys long-term planning and goal setting. Usually well informed, well-read, enjoy expanding their knowledge and passing it on to others. They are compelling in presenting their ideas.

Vice President MarketingPlum May 2022 - Aug 2022Kitchener, Ontario, CaAfter many years as a practitioner, I made the dive into the vendor world as the Vice President of Marketing at Plum, a Canadian based SaaS company. My role was a combination of strategy and execution. I had the honor of working with an incredible team. We were able to accomplish some great things in a short time. My role was affected from a reduction in force and my time with Plum unfortunately came to an end before I was able to fully achieve what I was brought in to do. I wish the team nothing but the best. -

Project ConsultantC/K Consulting May 2009 - Aug 2020I graduated from college in May of 2009. This was the heart of the recession for the Twin Cities with over 15,000 professionals being let go several weeks before graduation. I like many of my peers went from multiple job offers “on the table” to zero overnight. I started as a contractor in May of 2009 as an alternative means to employment during this challenging period. Starting as a 3rd Party Benefits Administrator on a 9-month contract, I began to add various tools to my tool-belt. After my first few engagements, I became known as the person you would call when there was no one else to submit for a unique role. Time and time again, I went into organizations, utilized my growth mindset, learned, stretch, and grew.
