Current▶ SCOPE: Hired to lead internal R&D at Octo focused on object detection and semantic segmentation of 3D point clouds (lidar, photogrammetry, and RGB-D sensors). Deliver market-leading solutions to test deep learning architectures, and win large-scale US government contracts. Analyze and innovate products in support of proposals for US Defense contracts. Communicate technical specifications of models to stakeholders, translating battlefield needs to actionable, 3D solutions. ▶ KEY ENGINEERING CONTRIBUTIONS:Bringing Technology to the Fight● Served as catalyst for developing 3D semantic segmentation software, advancing product to win PM IVAS contract. ● Automated photogrammetric 3D reconstruction from nano-UAS video feed in real-time. Oversaw full pipeline from feature detection and matching. ● Developed object detection in low-resolution and aerial thermal imagery. Created custom datasets with CVAT, adapting and optimizing YOLOv5. ● Developed WinTAK app for route planning and direct control of nano-UAS. Enabled geospatial infrastructure and situational awareness to facilitated 3D mission scenarios with real-time scene reconstruction and reconnaissance, utilizing Team Awareness Kit (TAK) SDK in C#.● Provided operator-focused technology solutions for military and security applications to include: electronic warfare, C4ISR, tactical and unmanned systems, and training and simulation.
