SOARE is the Sea to Sky Outdoor Adventure Recreation Enterprise. This non-profit is a physical and virtual space that makes it easier for businesses to meet; to share the skills, resources and relationships that will push them even further, and cement our reputation as world leaders in the Outdoor Industry.

Responsible for overseeing the company's strategic and long-range goal planning. I work alongside the Managing Director to drive strategic initiatives, international brand collaborations and take lead on financial projections while also deepening our product development capabilities and operating systems.

Co-Founder of gogglesoc, a first-to-market concept that became an international success story in the outdoor industry. With sales in 22 counties and thousands of retailers alongside a successful e-commerce presence. We came up with a practical solution to a real problem and created a new product category. Today, gogglesoc is an eyewear accessory brand reinventing an overlooked product category.

I worked as a contract engineer at Canovus' Foster Creek oil sands site. The Foster Creek project site is in a remote part of Northern Canada on an active air force base. We weathered temperatures of -45C in the winter and muskeg (swamp), horseflies, bears and wolves in the summer. The site covered 1.6 million acres, larger than the inside of the M25 in London. Most of the oil sands exploration work we did was by helicopter or argo (semi-amphibious ATV) or via the network of ice roads we built to access drilling pads in the winter. Cenovus employs a method of oil extraction called SAGD, or Steam-Assisted Gravity Drain, which is a relatively new technology to access oil sands deposits that can be hundreds of metres deep. They have no mining assets, tailings ponds or megaprojects. SAGD technology, allows access to large underground oil sands reservoirs with a small surface footprint.

Project Engineer responsible for completing package of works approximately $20M in value on time and on budget whilst coordinating with other departments and activities. The SEST project is worth $769 million in 2010 dollars, and is the largest single highway project in Alberta’s history, and its largest P3 road infrastructure project. The project consists of the construction and maintenance of 25 kilometres of six-lane roadway, 9 interchanges, 1 road flyover, 2 rail flyovers and 27 bridge structures.
