Speak directly with citizens to explain the valuation process and alleviate concerns. Offer over the phone services to the public such as looking up property information . Did interior inspection of properties identifying condition issuesI also joined the IAAO and began taking the courses offered by the organization to increase my knowledge in the field of appraisingUpdate in 2022Since starting this position over five years ago my skills have improved dramatically and I've had a large number of professional accomplishments. I am the foremost technical supervisor for residential appraising at my job. I've lead two of the largest overhauls in the history of the Assessors Office. . I streamlined and updated our entire system from the ground-up in how we approach appeals. Previously we had sat with people in person using a paper filing and scanning system. It was very time consuming and inefficient. I helped set up and create a fully online appeals process which I headed in 2020 and 2021. I trained Supervisors/Schedulers/Hearing Officers/Part of Commercial and most residential staff. I came up with the ideas, I created the training material and I also administered the training directly.. For the entire history of the Assessor's Office we had previously appraised properties in the Field using paper and pencil. We had to staple, sort, and hand out thousands of paper copies every month. Today I've helped to bring in a process for computer tablet appraising. We no longer use any paper copies and have created a versatile runnable script that captures both errors and can distribute work easily.. I regularly am involved in senior admin meetings where I continue to contribute key ideas in the future growth of my workplace
