I am a certified athletic therapist and massage therapist. My experience as an athlete on the women’s national water polo team has been the greatest influence on my passion for sport and the catalyst into a career in athletic therapy. I find great satisfaction in helping individuals through assessment and rehabilitation of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injury improving performance in sport and in activities of daily living. I have completed a field internship with Concordia Varsity athletics, specifically football and women’s basketball as well as Dawson college basketball. This experience allowed me to develop and refine many first response skills required for field work in athletic therapy. I also completed clinical internships with Dawson College athletics and PERFORM clinic where I was privileged in expanding my knowledge and application of clinical assessment and rehabilitation programming.
