Her assignments have taken her to numerous cities and across the globe. She traveled to Africa to document the AIDS crisis in Zambia; wrote about everyday New Yorkers – firefighters, day traders, restaurant owners – following Sept. 11; reported the stories of Sudanese refugees (“The Lost Boys”) struggling to make a new life in San Diego; and her obsession with coffee put her on a quest to find the best cup of joe in Southern California’s Inland Empire. Before becoming a journalist Jennifer enjoyed a stint working in Hollywood, first at Walt Disney Feature Animation and then at MTV Networks. Most recently, she served as Senior Content Producer at shark&minnow, a strategy and design firm that makes the complex simple - via research, strategic planning, design, content creation and civic engagement. At shark&minnow, Jennifer approached Content Marketing with a journalist's mindset (educate, inform and enlighten) utilizing research & investigation, primary sourcing, smart writing and tight editing. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from UC Berkeley, a Master of Science degree in Journalism from Columbia University, and is currently an MFA candidate in Creative Writing at The New School.
