CurrentProvides leadership and strategic direction for Transportation Systems and Development initiatives: Positive Train Control, Energy Management System, Single Person Crew, and Autonomous Train Operations. Directs the analysis and provides strategic direction to reduce variability as well as support structure to ensure Field workforce is efficient and effective. Directs the Financial Economic Modeling and appropriate investment to effectively support and execute the Transportation System evolution. Directs the ongoing Financial, Business Planning, Risk Management, Program Management and Communication aspects of the Positive Train Control (PTC) program across the network as well all future TSD initiatives. Provides leadership and strategic direction for the Transportation Systems Department's OE and Capital Budgets and Long Range Plans. Directs all Customer and Field Integration of all Transportation Systems to ensure consistent and successful implementation, adoption, and operation of Transportation Systems for over 14,000 Transportation employees. Directs the implementation plan which includes communication, the delivery of system applications help and training content, providing Organizational Change Management and implementation efforts specific to deployed applications for the Transportation or IT department to ensure efficient, effective use of systems to enable a more informed and knowledgeable workforce. Post implementation, our team targets issue resolution through the direct involvement of field and technical teams as appropriate for problems or issues that may arise. This includes the bridging of technical and operational support for all implementations to achieve appropriate stabilization. All of these efforts will involve collaboration with other groups to provide effective metrics/accountability, communications, training/education, tools/reports, and problem solving process.
