I am a strong rational and experienced person with attributes in the technical, education, general management and project management field. These attributes were built up in my early career in working with a number of businesses such as Wymarsh Heat Treatment Ltd, where I was responsible for the co-ordination of a site move from High Wycombe to Slough keeping full productivity, Shotline Steel Swimming Pools, dealing with multiple contractors constructing private leisure complexes and Walker Freight, dealing with the airline freight industry. I have also been a Director and Partner in a successful award winning business start up. In 1996 I decided to focus my career in IT and undertook a two year MSc. in IT. I spent the 15 yrs at Oracle Corp focusing on ‘Business Continuity’ (Disaster Recovery) and Maximum Availability Architecture resulting in a deep experience of both client management across multiple business sectors and the Oracle technology stack. In 2014 I left Oracle to join Kuoni owned Global Travel Services in their online hotel bookings. Here I used my knowledge of 24x7 architecture to help improve their connection management. I now work in Battersea for Allscripts, a ‘Patient Admission Systems’ supplier where patient safety is a key driver. I have an analytical outlook where I focus on the problem at hand, consider all points of view and can accept and embrace the different opinions of others, working to develop a solution. I am at my best when working to a deadline, I am focused on the task. I have developed good communication, people and excellent listening skills. I am honest with a straightforward approach and I believe I bring those attributes and much more to any potential employer. I wish to continuously further my knowledge and development. I am looking for an inspiring ‘project’ that will help me push myself and others in a positive fashion. I am an enabler. Currently at Allscripts I am overseeing the knowledge transfer to our India team.
