As High Performance Design Studio Team Leader, Jason is responsible for syndicating the breadth and depth of knowledge within Cyclone to deliver comprehensive service to key client accounts. While identifying opportunities for cross-collaboration and innovation between teams, he leads Cyclone’s internal research efforts to strengthen our impact on the built environment.

Specialized in providing consultation to design teams on building science topics related to building energy, indoor environmental quality, and human experience. Fluent in developing custom, design-based analysis using industry recognized simulation tools on projects located in diverse climate zones. He provided mentorship and training to a group of analysts to deliver diverse design-based analysis and research studies on projects. As a project architect he developed concepts from pre-design through construction documents, while also providing analytical support to quantitatively inform decisions influencing project performance.

Spanning a wide range of building types of varying scale and scope, conducted energy modeling, building system analysis, and daylight simulation to quantify energy and cost savings for various envelope, lighting, and HVAC system upgrades. Coordinated construction documents for the rebranding of a chain of national banks. Teamed with Interplan Florida engineers and outside consultants to coordinate MEP and structurual drawing sets. Verified and updated existing drawings.

Solicited bids and calculated quantity take-offs. Assisted on-site coordination of masonry crews, carpenters, and roofing contractors. Aided inspectors to timely acquire permits. Conducted closeout activities with project architect, inspectors, and client project manager.
