I serve as a member of the leadership team within OU's Division of Access and Opportunity. In this role I assist the university's Vice President of Access and Opportunity and other members of the divisional leadership team in supporting the growing needs of military- connected and veteran students by leading a department that serves as a hub for their success. I also support the division related to assessment, research, and strategic and operational projects.

I also advised and support two cross-functional teams to ensure that activities are coordinated effectively, with concise communication for various audiences.

I completed Initial Entry Training (Basic and AIT)- Spring 2014. Since 2014, I oversee the deployment of operating equipment, including all wheel vehicles and equipment over varied terrain and roadways. Manages the safety and accuracy of load, unload, and personnel being transported. Responsible for data review and detailed inspections of proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers, employing convoy defense techniques, Identifying, correcting or reporting all vehicle deficiencies, and preparing vehicle for movement/shipment by air, rail or vessel. Serves as the Unit Public Affairs Representative for my military unit. Responsibilities include establishing a Public Affairs Plan, interact with local media, draft and publish press release document leveraging strong communication skills – written and verbal. Coordinate unit events and community projects. Served as a member of the Military Funeral Honors Program with the Oklahoma Army National Guard. From 2014-2017, I leveraged people skills, coping, and communicating strengths to assist in rendering professional military funeral honors for over 270 funeral services, in accordance with service tradition, to all eligible veterans when requested by an authorized family member. Flexible and adaptable leadership skills shown through the successful execution of domestic convoy missions through California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana and Missouri. Leadership, commitment, and follow through have resulted in receiving several military commendations including the Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Oklahoma Military Funeral Honors Ribbon, Oklahoma Good Conduct Medal (6 Medals), Louisiana National Guard Emergency Service Medal and the Oklahoma National Guard Long Service Medal.

Through the University of Oklahoma Foundation, I supported the University of Oklahoma by building revenue through donations and fundraising efforts. My fundraising efforts included obtaining major gifts ($25,000- $999,999) to support the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Programs and the school’s University College (first year students). I also partnered with other foundation and university departments to develop proposal materials for a prospective donor to review. The University of Oklahoma is committed to changing people’s lives. Through the University of Oklahoma Foundation, I was privileged to do just that. To give more context, the work I did with the University of Oklahoma Foundation included the following.• I assisted in the qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a portfolio of major gift donors. Having excellent communications skills were vital with this role.• I demonstrated the ability to quickly build rapport with donors, solicit and steward gifts both in person and virtually.• I liaised with multiple departments within OU’s University College and ROTC Programs, working with key alumni leaders who serve on the school advisory boards.• I developed and implemented philanthropic support strategies for my areas of responsibility.

As District Executive for the New Horizons District and the Manuel Perez Jr. District of BSA's Last Frontier Council, I served Northeast Oklahoma City, Spencer, Downtown, Forest Park, South Oklahoma City, and portions of Midwest City and Northwest Oklahoma City. My job duties include, but are not limited to the following:◾Working with a volunteer board of directors and other community and business leaders to identify, recruit, train, guide, and inspire them to become involved in youth programs. ◾Achieving progress towards specific goals and objectives which include: program development through collaborative relationships, volunteer recruitment and training, fundraising, membership recruitment and retention. ◾Be responsible for extending programs to religious, civic, fraternal, educational, and other community-based organizations through volunteers.◾Secure adequate financial support for programs in assigned area. Achieve net income and participation objectives for assigned camps and activities.◾Recruit leadership for finance campaign efforts to meet the financial needs of the organization.◾Ensure that all program sites are served through volunteers, regular leader meetings, training events and activities.◾Collaborate with adult volunteers and oversee achievement of training for their respective role.◾Be a good role model and recognize the importance of working relationships with other professionals and volunteers. I possessed great communication skills and be able to explain the program’s goals and objectives to the public.◾Provide quality service through timely communication, regular meetings, training events and activities.In my time with the Boy Scouts, I raised over $110,000 to support our Local Scouting Efforts, created 7 new Scouting Units, recruited 452 youth for Scouting programs,developed curriculum to support Scouting Programs, and registered 533 youth for an annual weeklong summer camp at the Boathouse District in Oklahoma City.
