Manage all IT operations for this spin-off of OmniData Corp providing inventory auditing and materials management services to hospitals, directly and as a subcontractor to Fortune 500 companies. Interact directly with customer representatives to ensure accuracy and timeliness of data received from customers and the reports returned.

Supervised and participated in all help desk, development, and IT infrastructure design and management for a user base with widely varying technical skills, using both commercial and proprietary software on PCs and embedded systems in a nationwide distributed environment. Served as the primary analyst for all healthcare related services and supervised analysts for other service lines.

Supervised all IT/IS support for a user base with widely varying technical skills, using both commercial and proprietary software on PCs and embedded systems in a nationwide distributed environment.Served as the primary analyst for all lines of service, responding to the needs of both internal and external customers. Designed, developed, and implemented a suite of new tools and applications which allowed Omnicount to move into a new market, healthcare, with best-of-breed technology from day one. This market was so successful for Omnicount and its successor company, OmniData, that all service lines for the original market which the company targeted, retail, have since been sold to another company in order focus solely on the healthcare market.

Managed the new, strategically important, Virginia Beach area, as Omnicount became an independent company.Worked closely with outsourced IT staff to document all aspects of IT operations so that it could be brought in-house.

Supervised all operational aspects (see Assistant Area Manager, below, for details) of the Reno area which had been on the verge of failure.In less than one year Reno was successfully turned from an area that was losing money into the highest margin area in the company, with a monthly gross profit 20% higher than the original target.Developed several applications, which were later adopted company-wide, used to provide client-server interaction to legacy applications, deliver reports based on complex routing rules (at the request of a $1M+/year account), and improve the efficiency of the inventory count process.

Assisted the Area Manager in supervising all operational aspects of the newly formed Detroit area, specifically: account level scheduling (which required coordination with the national offices of Omnicount, the client’s regional office, as well as stores operated by both franchisees and corporate managers); manpower scheduling (for which I took the initiative in creating a database application to address the complex scheduling needs inherent to the industry); personnel management (including recruiting, training, handling disciplinary issues, and performance evaluations).Performed the duties of an Inventory Team Manager supervising 2-3 inventory audits per day while also coordinating the activities of at least one other team doing the same.Stood in for the Area Manager for several months, as she was on maternity leave.

As part of a team ranging in size from five to 30 people, provided accurate inventory counts for retail stores and pharmacies with total inventories up to $3M. Performed high-speed numeric data entry, participated in highly variable team oriented work flows, maintained accuracy in a fast paced environment, and interacted directly with high-level management of both Omnicount and their customers.
