Houbara Lab Design offers full consultancy on the design and construction of Houbara bird-breeding facilities. This integrated design aims to combine buildings of various functionalities to meet the demand for the sustainability of the species. Sheikh Khalifa Houbara Breeding Center is a UAE government spear-headed initiative with member countries from all over the MENA region. Located in Sweihan, Abu Dhabi, the facility is a community in itself due to its sheer size. As an Assistant Site Supervisor, my duties include but are not limited to being:* One of the members of a team of engineers and architects who supervises the construction of various facilities on site. Buildings include a 3-storey accommodation building, a huge climate-controlled and bio-secured bird breeding facility, and several infrastructures for utility services such as power sub-stations* Maintain daily site inspections for Civil, Architectural, and MEP to ensure all preparation, workmanship and finishing works are as per design standards, and will meet the client's satisfaction* Review tender, execution and as-built drawings to minimize time impact of construction challenges and ensure a smoother project flow* Represent the client during site meetings with respective contractors and sub-contractors to keep updated on work progress and to discuss early and resolve probable causes of delays* Providing advices for contractors in improving design plans for easier site execution and solving project issues by suggesting viable solutions to avoid progress delay* Reviewing and approving construction documents, invoices, material submittals, and other essential papers following standard construction practices* Ensuring that work progress and costs are within the schedule and budget* Prepare and endorse vital turn-over documents* Monitoring maintenance, operation and warrantied rectification works

Clients mainly are approved loan applicants of the government agency responsible for the affordable shelter financing of Filipinos, Home Development Mutual Funds. My duties and responsibilities in the company include several key roles mainly in project site estimation, implementation and construction.I prepare documents necessary for the contractors to push thru with their awarded projects. I supervise these contractors for land development, mass housing, and other subdivision amenities, managing their material and manpower to maximize their resources while meeting target schedules. I also make written proposals, complete with quantity take-offs and drawings of supplementary works which are essential to the company which when approved will be under my supervision too.

This company is involved in contracting of numerous projects in the Philippines. Projects in their portfolio scoped from design, build and heavy equipment rental. Their client list include Grandspan, a general contracting company, San Miguel Corporation and Gaisano Malls. My duties in the company encompass site supervision and implementation.I was a site engineer in one of its projects in Manila. Project scope of works include several rehabilitation of structures in World Trade Center Manila. I supervised the re-tiling works and roofing insulation installation around its ground floor foyer area. I prepare work permits, estimate materials needed during the different project phases, and delegate manpower on their responsibilities. I consult site issues with the operation manager to be acted upon quickly ensuring effective turn-over to our client.

The store is located in a middle class community in Quezon City, Philippines. Customers who come and go include people from all walks of life. My duties cover responsibilities from staff to managerial level. I personally attend to the store, sell merchandise to customers and take charge as store cashier. I am also personally involved in purchasing of materials to avoid shortage of stocks. I attend tenant meetings of the commercial center where the store is located organized by the landlords themselves. We discuss strategies on how to increase foot traffic within the area to encourage prospected buyers.
