JD started his career in Law Enforcement in March of 2010. Throughout his time at the police department JD received numerous awards and moved through the ranks. JD spent most of his career in violent crime investigations, starting Homicide in 2015 as a Detective. JD promoted to the rank of Sergeant in February of 2017 and returned to the Homcide Division shortly after. JD was then transitioned to the Major Assaults Division during a restructure and stayed in that position until His promotion to Lieutenant in February of 2021. JD then returned to the Homicide Division and remained there until he made the decision to resign from the department in October of 2021. During his Police Department tenure JD was able to get both his Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and his Masters of Science in Leadership and Management. JD received various types of training during his tenure with the Department which has helped prepare him for this career change. In October of 2021, JD decided to join his family in Commercial Insurance Adjusting. JD joined Crawford GTS as a Regional General Adjuster. JD has completed all three of his Property Technical Certificates and is currently working towards his AIC. JD’s family has been in adjusting for over 40 years through three generations and he is excited to continue the family tradition.
