The services delivered were single points of failure for the product and had a high bar for availability.The services delivered used a mixture of Ruby on Rails, Elasticsearch, Java and DynamoDB and leveraged numerous AWS services for deployments and production load.Integrated multiple identity providers including ActiveDirectory and commercial Oauth products.As technical lead and project manager I delivered a key customer request using a Flink based solution to do realtime transformation on a vast array of per second audio and video metrics. Values were transformed into 10 second metrics which were then delivered to the customer via kinesis streams.Delivered region expansion for the Chime SDK allowing support for GovCloud.As technical lead and project manager designed and managed a service wide upgrade of the CI/CD infrastructure used by services in both the Chime SDK and Chime product.

Involved in pivots as the company went through multiple iterations.Delivered or managed delivery of all features in the Ruby on Rails stack which provided APIs used by our media stacks as well as our end user applications. Features delivered included billing, contacts, authentication, authorization, growth features, device management and internal/external admin tools.Conceived and delivered auto call system which rang all participants across their active devices at the start of calls scheduled via any ICS compatible calendar. This allowed users to join meetings at the start of the call via push messages and a single click.Delivered CI/CD infrastructure using jenkins and integrated it with our github.Built out the testing and production infrastructure using AWS services. Also, implemented and managed the corporate VPN to secure access to our cloud infrastructure.Recognized as on of the "key personnel" when Biba was acquired by AWS in 2015.

Delivered features for SAP's JAM (formerly Cubetree). JAM is an enterprise social collaboration tool. Features included internationalization, groups, cross company groups, link previews, document uploads and previews, virus scanning of uploads and folders.Implemented a sales demo that created a customized instance tailored to the sales target. Instances had deep content simulating real collaboration across multiple teams with an array of fake employees of varying levels.Used agile methodologies and test driven development to ship weekly incremental updates.

As a manager on the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) team I delivered updates to the product's Windows drivers. The drivers provided application and device control as well Network Threat Protection and needed to be upgraded to work with Windows7 and other 64 bit operating systems. This team was spread between Beijing and Mountain View, CA.I was also frequently required to act as an escalation point for customers of the existing SEP product.As a manager running the Brightmail Anti-Spam Technology group we delivered a sender reputation system that reduced overall load by placing a limit on the volume of messages allowed from suspicious IPs. The feature also replaced the on-box file based IP reputation system allowing us to scale from a data set of six hundred thousand IPs to over five hundred million.Delivered multiple releases for the Symantec 8160 appliance. This appliance was based on the TurnTide TCP/IP traffic shaping and reduced mail volumes by as much as 80% at large customers like Comcast and MessageLabs.Awarded patent #7647411: "System and method for controlling distribution of network communications" As an engineer I implemented the integration with Symantec's licensing system for the 8160.I also delivered a new admin interface to facilitate the configuration for the appliance.Delivered a mesh network solution using SSH tunnels to securely connect appliances in a customer's network allowing the appliances to share data. This ensured that appliances had the same reputation information and were allowed the same QoS.

Contributed as a core member of a four person team to build the world’s first TCP/IP anti-spam router. Delivered a high performance highly reliable Linux user space process to analyze email using multiple technologies including machine learning (bayesian analysis).Delivered an admin portal to provide graphical reporting showing customers the efficacy of the appliance.Prior to pivoting to the anti-spam router the company was focused on cryptographic email stamping to verify senders. During this time I delivered the web interface that decrypted stamps allowing recipients to verify the authenticity of the sender.

Developed e-commerce solutions for the Internet using ASP and Java applets. Maintained high level of interaction with clients and had creative control. Extensive use of MS SQL Server and Oracle in web applications that included writing and calling stored procedures from ASP pages. Also delivered credit card processing using XML over HTTPs.
