I’m JD, the Founder & CEO of Trukkin - a leading digital trucking platform in the Middle East & Pakistan.I launched Trukkin in 2017 because I am motivated by solving complex problems - and as it happens, the transportation industry in the Middle East has a lot of unique challenges.After some initial research, it was clear that a technology-driven platform could revolutionise how transporters and shippers do business. And so my team and I set out to solve the problems faced by transporters, shippers, and brokers in the region.Today, our platform is an enabler for the entire logistics industry; truckers can book loads, and shippers have access to the right truck, at the right time, for the right price – all with relative ease. But our success is not just down to our user-friendly platforms but also to the excellent customer service and genuine care our team has for our clients.Before establishing Trukkin, I spent a decade as an investment banker with Bank of America and Barclays in New York and Dubai. I’ve invested, raised capital for private equity and venture capital deals, and provided seed capital to new ideas and growth equity to emerging companies.
