Responsible for guiding the development of the company’s overall strategy. Created the plan and gained investor support to transform the company from mostly an aftermarket product distribution business to a technology product developer and supplier for the automotive market. Established the company’s first office in Southeast Michigan; personally recruited and hired essential talent required to be self-sufficient from previous Original Design Manufacturer for advanced engineering, product development and advanced manufacturing; established the company’s first Contract Manufacturing partnership; and, maintained and gained customer confidence with major automotive OEMs throughout that transition to win several global sourcing opportunities. Significantly expanded OEM and Tier-1 customer base, technology portfolio and product lines which increased company earnings by more than 4 times despite a similar increase in operating expenses needed for the business transformation. Achieved successful business exit with global strategic automotive generating a 20-times increase in enterprise value for private equity owner.

Built and managed a team of professionals that designed, sourced, introduced and distributed award-winning XM satellite radios, rear-seat DVD entertainment and GPS navigation systems for retail distribution that enabled annual revenue achievement in excess of $250 million.

Responsible for a multi-hundred million dollar global home theater and multi-room audio business that included the Lifestyle®, 3*2*1 and Acoustimass® product lines. Stewarded the product development resources, the company’s internal advertising agency and international sales theaters, designing and introducing a vast number of products directly to the media, as well as to the world’s largest resellers. Many of these products quickly became market-firsts due to their technical consumer benefits and highly differentiated designs.
