I love serving and working with diverse teams to help launch new and support existing nonprofit community programs and initiatives. I desire to bring my depth of experience in education, business and nonprofit to help establish, support and build nonprofit outreaches, philanthropic endeavors and social enterprises. I am known for being a collaborative, relationship-based leader/partner, an excellent communicator and someone who brings grounded, pragmatic solutions to problem solving.In the past few years, I have partnered and advised in the planning, development and launching of a nonprofit dance company, an indigenous art experience and a student learning center. I was a founding board member of the Santa Fe Dance Company, served as a Strategy Advisor to The Allan Houser Foundation and am currently an active volunteer at HopeUC, Santa Fe.During the startup years of the New Mexico School for the Arts, I helped to build a strong academic foundation by serving as a Math Teacher for six years. I developed a new flipped/blended classroom model, helped to lead the integration of new classroom technology, established a new Financial Algebra class and led the development of a new math volunteer tutoring program.As a marketing/consumer researcher for twenty years, I led and managed consumer and business research projects helping companies like Procter & Gamble, Kimberly-Clark, and Hillrom Healthcare develop new and improve existing products and services. As a founding member of the consumer research group at Givaudan Flavours, I led global research teams to deliver new flavor innovations for drinks, sweet goods, and dairy products for North America, Europe and Latin America.As co-manager in a startup social enterprise, I helped to train, manage and coach formerly homeless adults and youth in the screen printing of t-shirts. I also advised on customer satisfaction measurement.Additionally, I have served as a focus group moderator for the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Community Conversations on Race, a corporate charity coordinator and a speaker on marketing research topics at various Cincinnati colleges. I have also worked as an independent portrait photographer.
