Based on the successful Gangplank organization started in Phoenix, Ariz. in 2008, Gangplank Utah (gangplankut.org) brings together individuals, micro-business owners, industry veterans, university students and others in an informal setting to share ideas in an open, collaborative community.• Manage weekly forums and meetings for students, industry veterans, and successful businesspeople. Organize, design, implement, and host educational forums, panels and contests.• Create and facilitate a casual, low-key, yet creative environment to enhance sharing and learning in an open atmosphere, concentrating on person-to-person interaction and brainstorming.• Work closely with Sorenson Media and the University of Utah’s Sorenson Innovation Center to plan strategy, direction, and the roll of Gangplank Utah in the community.

DJH Engineering is a mechanical engineering firm. • Work in a team environment to manage, facilitate, and design 4 mobile construction equipment vehicles. Oversee the design and analysis of over 100 individual vehicle parts.• Coordinate and organize design reviews with project engineers, design engineers, and manufacturers of major client John Deere. Work with John Deere’s marketing team to design vehicles that meet marketing requirements.• Selected to travel to European office of DJH to develop a software training program and materials used to instruct Slovakian employees on stress analysis software. System Administrator • Maintain a network of 18 computers and develop strategies to control and forecast processes for future growth of data usage and storage space increases. • Forecast growth of hard disk data storage and make ongoing purchasing recommendations to manage allocation of space and to protect data.• Coordinate all aspects of data transfer streamlining processes (Utah to Slovakia) by setting up and supervising a Virtual Private Network (VPN) resulting in estimated reduced costs of 70%.
