I led Site Reliability Engineering and was responsible for incident management, observability, and driving engineering excellence across Chartboost's technology platform. I worked closely with executive leadership and my peers to measure and understand the health of our platform, operate it successfully, put things back together when they go wrong, and learn from those situations.I was responsible for building SRE at Chartboost essentially from the ground up; aligning vision, developing best practices, and implementing across across the company. I did this through my own efforts and by focusing the engineering talents of my team members on the right solutions to move the business forward.

I worked on the infrastructure under some fascinating chunks of the Unreal ecosystem, handled team oncall responsibilities, and drove collaboration with other Epic engineering teams.

I was responsible for company-wide incident management at Epic. My team drove incident resolution, collaborated with stakeholders and resolvers across the company, and owned the primary telemetry and alarms that told us if Fortnite is operating successfully for our players. If something went wrong and affected our players, developers, or partners, we were there to help put it back on the rails.My role consisted of* Hiring, career development and people management for a team across 4 sites on two continents.* Setting direction for the team's handling, reporting, and improvement of incident management operations.* Driving training and operational support for new studios, develop cross-studio communications channels, and export best practices learned from Fortnite into other parts of the growing business.* Manage the team that owns Epic's Online observability tools and supports the monitoring ecosystem that our developers build on and use to operate their services.

I led Epic's LiveOps team, which is dedicated to advocating for the experience of players, end users, and studio partners for Epic Games. We dove deep into data to understand our player and customer needs, held a relentlessly high bar for Epic's service quality, drove business and technical owners to do the right thing for our customers, and operated Epic's incident management process.

I ran the global infrastructure operations team at Epic Games. We handled 24x7 follow-the-sun oncall for the core cloud services and base platform that Online Services live on, managed our infrastructure security profile, and worked closely with the other Infrastructure and Online service teams to build a platform for offerings like the Epic Games Store, Epic Online Services, and of course, Fortnite.

I managed two software development teams in AWS Infrastructure, responsible for Amazon's server provisioning services and for driving efficient utilization of our server fleets.

I manage the software projects in the Fleet Management team, delivering solutions that help Amazon manage it's hardware capacity. I reduce waste, increase visibility, and help deliver the resources that our internal teams need to get their jobs done.

I work in the AWS Infrastructure organization, managing hardware provisioning workflows and reporting for internal teams. I'm currently working primarily with Rails applications.In my previous role, I worked as a software engineer with a team attached to the AWS Developer Support team. We built a number of internal and externally facing software systems to help our support engineers assist our customers effectively, as well as directly helping customers use AWS with greater success.Projects include the design and implementation of AWS Trusted Advisor(http://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/) and a number of features for the AWS Support Center (http://aws.amazon.com/support/).

Aside from the main responsibilities of my job description, I have documented and improved team processes, participated in the hiring process for new engineers, and developed new software tools to improve team workflow and solve specific team pain points.
