He served in the Energy Division of the California Public Utilities Commission where he conducted proceedings on distribution resources planning, cybersecurity, and demand response microgrids/smart grid. He designed and directed studies on greenhouse gas emissions reduction strategies and technologies in the electricity, natural gas and transportation sectors. He started his career as a software development engineer, working on new product development, systems design, and contract embedded system programming.
