Group research focused on the development and characterization of infrared-transparent glasses for bulk, thin-film, and fiber applications. Specific duties included management of a team of postdocs, technical staff, graduate and undergraduate students in a laboratory environment, publication of results, development of grant applications, and oversight of outside contracts.
