IRradiance Glass specializes in both the high-volume production and low-volume custom compositional design of infrared-transparent chalcogenide glasses for a variety of optical applications. Drawing on our deep experience in the academic study of these materials, IRradiance Glass provides customers the expertise needed for the production of chalcogenide glasses with tightly controlled thermal, optical, and mechanical properties to tackle demanding IR optical design problems. In addition, we specialize in the production of a wide variety of glass forms, from bulk glass to spherical preforms to high-value optical elements. Group research focused on the development and characterization of infrared-transparent glasses for bulk, thin-film, and fiber applications. Specific duties included management of a team of postdocs, technical staff, graduate and undergraduate students in a laboratory environment, publication of results, development of grant applications, and oversight of outside contracts. Gave twice weekly lectures on relevant material for Introductory Physics laboratory sessions, supervised a staff of teaching assistants, and graded lab work.

Oversaw a staff of 30 student Resident Advisors whose job was to enforce college policy and create community in the dormitories. Duties included responding to emergency situations, interfacing with campus security and deans in other areas of the college, administering discipline cases, and holding weekly staff meetings.
