The Technology and Operations Practice offers fractional and interim CIO and COO services, strategic planning and advisory services, assessments, mentoring, and experienced, senior-level leadership for staff, major projects, and vendor relationships.

Convergent provides management consulting and part time or interim CIO/COO ("Virtual CXO") services for mid-sized businesses. Services are focused on ensuring that leadership, business strategies, ongoing operations, technology, and customer interactions are all clearly aligned and effectively managed. Recent engagements have spanned a variety of industries and have included both non-profit and for-profit organizations.

Responsible for all aspects of technology planning and budgeting, contract and vendor management, infrastructure oversight, and leadership of technology and process initiatives necessary for continued growth of a regional banking operation with roughly $1.4B in assets and over 35 locations. Recruited to build the department, establish a strategic direction for technology, reduce external dependencies, and act as a catalyst for organizational change. Defined as successor to the organization’s Chief Operating Officer.

Responsible for development of new business relationships and management of strategic technology initiatives. Key focus areas include strategic development for retail and distribution, Sarbanes-Oxley assessment and certification activities, IT organizational assessments, and implementation of ITIL-based best practices. Clients range in size from ~$100M to over $4B annually.

Us

Directed professional teams responsible for all aspects of business process design, applications and infrastructure software development, hardware selection and implementation, strategic architecture planning, and systems support for over 600 locations nationwide. Systems supported all mission critical retail operations, including Point of Sale (POS), back office, pricing and promotions, and inventory management systems. As a direct report to the CIO, led a $150M+ systems transformation initiative, while also managing software development and systems support for existing legacy systems. Experience managing a staff of over 135 associates and controlling an annual spend of over $30M.
