As the Networks' strategy manager, I set the BU’s strategic direction and support the P&L targets through growth initiatives. I combine engineering skills and business acumen to develop the product portfolio strategy and lead business unit initiatives, including growth opportunities, evaluation of market adjacencies, commercial due diligence, and portfolio assessment initiatives. In this position I I innovate at the boundary of engineering and marketing. By combining available technologies, customer input, market research, and a heavy dose of vision I enable customers to achieve their desired outcomes. I conduct extensive market and technology research around product concepts, business plans and opportunities. I use rapid experimenting with low fidelity “prototypes” to test concepts with customers early in the process. For new product ideas I lead cross-functional teams to build out business cases that include customer segmentation, product positioning, go-to-market strategy, customer requirement specifications, pricing strategy, and preliminary sales forecast. Once the business case is established, I collaborate with R&D to generate estimates of cost of goods sold, development expenses, development strategy, manufacturing strategy, and development schedules. 40% of current revenue, with a 9.5% CAGR, is derived from products I have introduced.
