A parallel experience was assisting Roy Turner and Debbie Burch with the PHS Wichita Open. Through discussions we had, I helped them transition from an @cox.net email account and similarly non-branded URL to the current PHSWichitaOpen.com site and set of email addresses and social networks. For the new website iteration, I designed and coded PHSWichitaOpen.com. We also discussed the use of social media, which led us to Professor Clay Stoldt at WSU. He used the PHS Wichita Open as a class project, breaking the class of 25 into five groups to work on the event’s Facebook, Twitter, blog, video and wiki entries. During the bulk of my time at PHS, I maintained the website, email marketing and monthly employee newsletter. Actively involved in the annual United Way campaign, local efforts for improving workplace health and B98’s annual toy drive. Worked with local graphic designer for several logos used with employee outings and was the PRSA WSU Student Day Chair in 2008 and 2009.
