Demers.JD an, award winning producer, actor & voice artist, host, + film/TV/New Media Producer, on set safety as well as, a Media Futurist, for over 28 years, working behind and in front of the camera. A few' “Among Brothers”, 3 seasons of “The West Wing”, Homicide Hunter, "Unbridled", "Condors Nest" and "No Vacancy". JD also had a number of national TV commercials for NASCAR and other branded products. He does like sneaking off and doing musical theatre. A few shows of note, “Harvey” with Elinor Donahue, “To Kill a Mockingbird” with Johnny Whitaker, “Fiddler on the Roof” with Paul Sorvino and “Sound of Music” with the von Trapp family singers, plus "Oklahoma". JD has his own professionally built voice-over studio for work a 17ft production truck packed with gear. He serves as faculty advisor to Living Arts College, formerly to Piedmont Community College. He served as adjunct faculty at a number of learning institutions-UNC-G, Savannah College of Art and Design. He has participated in a number of graduate productions at the UNC: School of the Arts, this is part of JD's giving back to the motion picture arts. JD has served as a member of the board of advisers to Eno River Media Association, as an advocate for the NC Film & Start Up Industry in NC, and assisted in seeing film incentives stayed in NC. As a lifetime member of the Digital Cinema Society, & MCAI's board' as well as President of the Carolina Chapter. Currently JD is regional president for Carolina MediaPros, another non-profit helping professional media individuals and start up businesses connect and grow with media professionals in North Carolina. JD is also a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Lastly, he is founder of the Peak City International Film Festival in 2009 in Apex, North Carolina. One of the best places to live in America.His “think outside the box, work outside the box, and know when to get back in the box!” philosophy serves him well!
