Despite returning from a long period where I was not working due to family related issues, my skills and work ethic has not budged one bit. At the end of the day, my different occupations have enabled me to learn a variety of skills, which all centered around customer satisfaction and retention. Target is a great example of this. At target I started out as a Backroom associate where I would pull tasks, which were a series of products, out of the Backroom storage area to be replenished on the floor. After a few weeks, I began to fulfill more tasks at a greater pace. Due to my time management skills, my supervisors were impressed and gave me greater responsibilities including online order fulfillment. This new role required speed, accuracy, and efficiency all in a higher pressure environment. These orders could have any number of items ranging from one to forty. Regardless of the number of items, the order must be fulfilled within 30 minutes which made the environment change from a leisurely one to a much higher pressure one. Even though my job while on the store floor primarily consisted of pulling orders for online purchases, the number one priority was always ensuring every customer received the greatest service possible whatever it took to deliver the greatest satisfaction and retention possible.
