About Jamia D.

I am grateful that my passion for design at an early age was embraced by my family and community. Although I am a first-generation architect, I know I will not be the last. The path that I am carving out as a licensed professional allows me the opportunity to pay it forward as many times as possible to whoever dares to listen and try it for themselves. I wear many hats in my architectural career as a project manager, design consultant, strategic advisor, and mentor. These roles allow me the opportunity to be hands on in all phases of project delivery from creating a scope of work to conceptualizing a design to assembling a project team then working through design development phases to create contract documents that are used to provide construction administration for a built project and project turnover.I love the diversity, challenges, and call for creativity that this field offers. I look forward to adding to my experience and building a portfolio that reflects my journey.
