As a pioneer my strength is to create, strengthen and adapt. I create strategies out of new ideas and innovations. I strengthen existing organisations and teams to help them adapt to future needs. I do not like to work alone, and look for partnerships with others in a team or a network, within as well as between organisations. I find my inspiration in uncommon combinations of domains, such as history and technology, or academic science and vocational education. And in inspiring people (young and old) to explore these combinations, to be surprised and inspired. I easily connect with people in various fields on different levels, whether operational, strategical or political, and whether in universities, primary schools or in multinationals. What energizes me is bringing people from different backgrounds together so they can combine their knowledge and skills to solve problems or use new possibilities. I like to take initiative, lead by example and motivate others to adopt ownership of (my) ideas. My passion, enthusiasm and drive make me an inspirational leader who outlines a clear direction and can make decisions when necessary. My flexibility and optimism make me switch between being a critical strategic sparring partner to a hands-on colleague.
