Ethiopia

Responsible for managing a 3,5m Euro, 5 year social protection project, focused on education Adult literacy and TVET), business development (Cooperative's set up and setting up a regional microfinance institution) and tourism (community based tourism businesses set up), implemented in Northern Ethiopia with over 90 staff (most interesting parts included setting up community initiatives drawing on local traditional collective culture, the human resource management of big teams and plenty of adventure alike activities identifying new areas in new places where we were sometimes one of the first development organisations around)Tasks included the following:- Design, analysis and implementation of project activities together with the technical coordinators (organisation of educational programme; business development and tourism activities; etc.).- Evaluation and monitoring all activities and outcomes of the project (including development of monitoring tools – monthly reports, documentation records, etc. – and training and implementation of household surveys, satisfaction questionnaires, case studies, etc.).- Joint coordination, planning and supervision of the staff of the programme (90 people).- Reporting.- Liaison with public and private donors being responsible of the technical and financial reporting.- Enhance the participation and development of the volunteers associated to the programme according to the organisation strategy
