Radiotherapy Physicist
Current• One of seven medical physicists responsible for planning and coordination of network-wide QA & dosimetry. This included teaching physics residents. Network consists of main campus and seven regional centers. • Responsible for network-wide planning and coordination of CT Treatment Simulation QA, and On-Board-Imager QA. Including monthly & annual QA overhaul for TG66 compliance, efficiency, and network-wide unification. • General duties include routine QA for Varian TrueBeam, Trilogy/IX, EX, Philips CT-Sim., GE CT Sim.• Extensive experience with linac QA (EX, IX, and TrueBeam) and CT-Sim QA.• Extensive experience with Sun Nuclear MapCHECK2 and EPID for patient-specific QA.• Extensive experience with patient treatment at linac console, including IGRT, Calypso, AlignRT, breath-hold & exhale gating, SBRT. Also includes treating patients under research protocol.• Participated in commissioning of new linear accelerators: main campus TrueBeam, regional TrueBeam and IX machines. Also participated in commissioning for new regional Philips CT Simulators, RapidArc for Trilogy, and ECHO, myQA machine QA database• Experience with use of and QA for AlignRT, ExacTrac, MPC, IsoCal, RPM, QA3, myQA database• Experience with dosimetry measurement tools: pancake ion chamber, thimble ion chamber, TG51 equipment, Gafchromic film & scanner, photon & electron diode, OSL, QA3 custom tooling and repurposing, MapCHECK2, EPID, IROC measurements.• Some experience with QA for Total Body Irradiation and Total Skin Electron Treatment.• Some experience treatment planning (Eclipse) through training with treatment planning group, SRS/SBRT end-to-end QA, and preclinical dosimetry for machine commissioning.• Some experience with Brachytherapy planning and delivery through training in brachytherapy group: HDR (Variseed) Tandem & Ring and Vaginal Cylinder, LDR prostate seed implant.
