My job consisted of writing case studies for the academic programs of Zamorano University. The cases are mainly for Strategy courses, Entrepreneurship, Macro & Micro economics, Finance among others, all related to AGRICULTURE.

At the Agricultural Economics Department at Kansas State University, I worked on Data Analysis to answer the question of where landowners live that own Kansas agricultural land. The theory is that as farmers retire or pass away and their land is transferred to the next generation, more land is being owned by people living further away from where the land is located. This is because heirs do not return to the farm but live in different cities and states across the country. Also, as land has been sold in recent years, more out of state investors appear to be purchasing Kansas farm ground.

Zamorano

As Conference Director in this extracurricular club at Zamorano University , I was in charge of finding speakers to present excellent talks to club members.

During this online internship I learned to think creatively about how to solve problems in agriculture in a multicultural team. I also built research and teamwork skills.My team won an "Environmental Impact Team Award" for developing a multidisciplinary proposal to improve the livelihoods of small shareholder aquaculture producers in El Salvador.
