As a certified Sr. Solutions Architect and Sr Managing Consultant for IBM's Security Product Professional Services team, architects, designs, implements and integrates IBM security products into corporate infrastructures. His main duties focus on designing architectures for identity/access/governance (IAG) security solutions. Related implementation tasks include architecture, macro and low level design, configuration, customization (coding), and testing of product integrations. Current position requires extensive knowledge of IT security to include identity management, access management, identity governance, PKI/certificate technology, SSO, encryption/decryption, and SSL/TLS. His knowledge base also includes policies and guidelines related to HIPAA, HITECH, SOX, and GDPR.Prior to IBM acquiring his former employer, (Access360), he worked as a Project Manager and Sr. Consultant with responsibilities for the oversight of multiple, large scale system implementations; to include pre-sales negotiations, requirements analysis, leading executive/CIO level discovery meetings, and producing implementation cost estimates (LOEs).

Was hired as Manager of Florida State Legislature’s IT Support Team, providing support services to approximately 1300 local legislative staff members. He was responsible for the development, training, evaluation, and supervision of 12 support analysts and computer technicians. Mr. Dennis contributed significantly to the organization’s strategic planning and business process analysis efforts. He was the major force behind the planning, development, and implementation of the Data Center’s Enterprise Support System.

As a GS-15 second line manager, managed all aspects of computer operations for a mid-sized, (1000 person), organization. Directed a staff of four, first line supervisors who collectively, managed 50+ employees and contractors. Assisted with the implementation and management of enterprise level efforts such as strategic planning, disaster recovery, and application re-hosting. Developed and implemented technical standards; policy guidelines; and budget and resource management plans. Provided technical input to CIO on issues relating to systems architecture and engineering solutions. In a Project Management capacity, managed two, large-scale, enterprise wide projects under budget and ahead of schedule.

Planned and organized the Defense Intelligence Agency’s inaugural Systems Support Center, eventually, providing support to more than 2100 staff. Managed all aspects of support center operations, including Call Center operations; LAN system administration; and h/ware & s/ware configuration and maintenance. Responsible for a staff of 12 support engineers and system administrators. Coordinated and resolved conflicting customer priorities. Assisted with the more technical tasks such as developing system utilities and scripts, in an effort to automate LAN maintenance.

Became the overall testing coordinator for the Defense Intelligence Agency’s corporate applications, operating systems, and desktop configurations, on a variety of platforms (UNIX, Windows, VM, and MVS). Responsibilities included developing software engineering standards; assuring product conformance to technical specifications; and designing, implementing, and monitoring test plans. Managed a staff of 10 test engineers and consultants.

As senior programmer/analyst, was involved with all aspects of the Systems Development Methodology, to include requirements definition and analysis; design and development; and integration, acceptance, and functional testing. Eventually assigned as Project Manager, overseeing a recurring, 1.2 million dollar software development project. Responsibilities included task assignment and coordination; and contract administration.

Assigned to the computer support section, with responsibilities that included tutoring customers in PC fundamentals; and developing and maintaining office automation applications. Developed programs and utilities to assist with engineering analysis, requiring a high degree of mathematical ability

In 1977 was assigned to the combat training department as a computer operator within a tactically advanced combat systems and electronic warfare environment. In 1978, was assigned as CIC Watch Section Supervisor aboard USN LST-1181.
