I am a Senior Emergency Planner at County of San Joaquin, with over six years of combined experience in emergency management and public administration. I am a Doctor of Public Administration (DPA) student at California Baptist University and hold a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security (EMHS) from ASU Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions. In my current role, I lead the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Emergency Management Program Accreditation (EMAP) programs, administer the State Homeland Security Grant, and assist in the coordination of Central Valley Volunteer Organizations Active During Disasters (VOAD). I leverage my skills in disaster preparedness, drone mapping, and emergency management to support the county and operational area in prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery efforts for various hazards, such as COVID-19, drought, and winter storms. I also have a background in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) operations from my military service, where I served as a CBRN NCO in various roles and capacities. My mission is to enhance the resilience and security of the communities I serve, and to collaborate with diverse partners and stakeholders to achieve our shared goals.
