With over 13 years of experience as an internet entrepreneur and investor, I have a deep passion for the open web, open source, and digital marketing. I co-founded and grew Yoast SEO, the leading software for optimizing websites, which is used by more than 13 million sites worldwide. We sold Yoast to Newfold Digital in 2021 and I became their Head of WordPress Strategy for five months, where I was responsible for aligning their WordPress products and services with the market needs and trends.Since May 2010, I have been a Partner at Emilia Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in web startups that share our core values: open source, sustainability, and female entrepreneurship. I work closely with our portfolio companies, such as Atarim, Equalize Digital and Extendify, to help them achieve their goals and make the web a better place.
