Lead Software Developer
CurrentI design, build and maintain systems for the customers and staff of a global travel company with my fellow developer. This primarily includes a client-facing travel website and back end system to manage content, building custom trips, products, invoicing, etc. Recently, I spend a lot of time updating legacy systems and codebases to be more maintainable, extendable and performant. This includes choosing the best infrastructure and architecture components for our projects based on the needs and limitations of the business. It's a challenging position, but it allows me to learn about a lot of different aspects of the software development world, which I really enjoy. I also get to work with a great team of people. And I get to work for a company that really cares about their customers and staff, and shares many of my values.
